The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Site Manager to lead the team in our Epsom (UK) office. Reporting directly to the Group Facilities Manager, the Site Manager will ensure the highest possible standards are adhered to maintain the site whilst managing a team of two facilities assistants.
The successful candidate will lead on all facilities and maintenance tasks, ensuring that our building and lab spaces are well maintained and fully operational. They will ensure the smooth coordination of all the Epsom office annual services, H&S compliance and passing of quality audits. This is a hands-on role, involving general repairs, garden work, painting and liaising with contractors.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, can liaise with internal and external stakeholders and be a confident communicator. They will need to manage their time and take a great pride in their work and the Epsom office.

The Role:
- Overall responsibility for day-to-day maintenance of Epsom office.
- Manage the Epsom office Facilities team.
- Maintenance program administration
- Create and oversee PPM schedules across site
- Arrange external contractors as part of the maintenance of the building. This will include providing risk assessments, ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard, safely and in line with organisational procedures in line with budget control.
- Oversee the running and implementation of cleaning and security contracts on sight an attend monthly KPI meetings to maintain SLA’s.
- To work with the Health and Safety Manager to maintain all statutory documentation including risk assessments, Health and Safety policy, accident book and the fire safety log
- Manage the maintenance of building equipment including lab equipment.
- Manage yearly diary of key building maintenance checks
- Work with the FM supplier to plan and implement ongoing ADHOC repairs and refurbishments required.
- Respond to immediate building requirements whilst buildings are in use
- Assume overall responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of internal and external environments, ensuring they meet safety standards.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working at Manager level in a facilities role, preferably within a professional services environment or Lab based environment
- Experience of building work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with all levels of the organisation
- Ability to build rapport with employees
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise effectively and operate efficiently in a fast-moving environment
- An understanding of working with listed buildings (Grade 2)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Able to exercise initiative and discretion when working with confidential information
- UK Driver’s License
Travel
- Whilst based predominantly in Epsom, this role may require some periodic travel to other office locations.
Other Requirements
- Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
- Candidates must be able to obtain a basic security check which will normally require you to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years.
