Introducing Frontier AURIA

With the ever-growing demand for seamless connectivity and audio everywhere, Frontier has harnessed its expertise to develop this game-changing solution for consumer audio. AURIA seamlessly integrates Bluetooth LE 5.3 Audio and Wi-Fi 6 capabilities into a turnkey platform, customisable software SDK, connected Internet Services and an iOS/Android app, providing a comprehensive solution for manufacturers of audio products. The module is suitable for various consumer audio application including connected speakers, soundbars, portable speakers and dongles to upgrade existing equipment.

The key features of AURIA are:

  • Dual Connectivity: The module combines the latest Bluetooth LE Audio 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity in one compact certified module, allowing users to effortlessly switch between the two sources for their audio streaming needs; Bluetooth to listen away from home or the enhanced audio quality of Wi-Fi at home.

 

  • LE Audio LC3 codec: Via Bluetooth, will deliver improved audio quality, low latency and reduced power consumption, allowing mobile, battery powered devices to be created that provide end users with a better audio experience.
  • Bluetooth Auracast: Allowing a point to multipoint wireless broadcast with an unlimited number of receivers. This opens a range of use cases and new products that can be created for consumers and public spaces. For example, streaming to multiple speakers, creating a stereo wireless speaker pair, streaming from a soundbar to speakers or headphones, streaming from a public display to listeners’ headphones.

 

  • Latest Wi-Fi 6: AURIA allows Hi-Res audio to be streamed directly from the Internet. Preset buttons allow for audio to be streamed with a single touch, removing the need for mobile phones to provide connectivity and control.

 

 

 

Dual core processor: The module includes a powerful processor that allows for many advanced features such as Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay and future innovations such as 3D audio and advanced UI experiences to be added via software updates.

 

 

Fully certified turnkey solution: Designed to enable rapid product development and launch with a customisable SDK, module with multiple I/O options, OKTIV app and internet services including software updates.
